Stories Behind the Headstones – Oral Histories

Castle Bromwich Youth & Community Partnership is looking for volunteer interviewers and researchers for an oral history project documenting the stories behind the headstones in Castle Bromwich Graveyard.

Funded by the National Lottery, through the  Heritage Lottery Fund, stories behind the headstones will use the information on headstones to research and document the changing experience of life throughout the nineteenth and twentieth century. As part of the project, we will record the memories of local residents showing how developments in medicine, transport, technology and health and safety have transformed the life experiences of people living in Castle Bromwich.
